Is This A Nudge Or What?

by Robin Dunn Bryant on May 29th, 2007

Sometimes you I read a story about a cancer survivor that inspires me beyond belief.  Recently a friend sent me a link about a 75-year-old lung cancer survivor who became the first black woman to ski to the North pole.  I have a lot of friends who enjoy a variety of outdoor recreation activities and sports, so I’ve got a great appreciation for how much those types of activities take out of able bodied folks under 40 (the majority of the people I know) let alone a 75-year-old woman who looks like she would baby you the way every good granny should.  After months of hemming and hawing, I pulled my bike out of the garage and hit the trails.  No way I’m letting someone with 40 years older than me show me up.
