Bon Jovi On Lung Cancer Cure Concert
Yes. The Bon Jovi himself dedicated the kickoff concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom (Manhattan, Tuesday night) to the guitarist’s Richie Sambora’s father - Adam Sambora - who died of lung cancer last year.
Proceeds of the series of said concert (organized by Stand Up For A Cure) will go to the lung cancer cure research at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center where Sambora’s father received treatment.
Often detected at its advanced stage - lung cancer - is the leading cause of cancer-related death among both men and women in the U.S.,says the National Cancer Institute.

My mom has lung cancer and is having a really hard time with chemo right now. She has progressed from stage 2 to 4 in 18 months. I would like to know how I can help raise awareness for this disease. She quit smoking 16 years ago. People didn’t know then the harmful effects.
