Former Phils. President Cory Aquino Has Colon Cancer
Corazon C. Aquino - former (and first woman) President of the Philippines, has colon cancer.
The condition of Mrs. Aquino (fondly called Cory) was recently revealed by her family.
Former president Corazon Aquino is suffering from colon cancer and is in a hospital, her family said Monday.
Aquino’s daughter Kris, a people television host and actress, read a statement on television saying the cancer was discovered when the former president went to have a check up.
A weeping Kris, with her brother, Senator Benigno Aquino III beside her, said their family is asking for “compassion and prayers for our Mom’s recovery.”
Compassion, prayers and more — are what she’ll definitely get from the Filipino people and (hopefully) the rest of the world.

Dear Madam,
Sincerely yours,

Dear Madam,
We were happy to see you on television tonight after the mass at the Pink Sister’s Convent at New Manila Quezon City. We pray that you will be given more years and that there will be no pain in your chemotherapy sessions.
Like you, I’m also a cancer survivor. I had a giant cell tumor diagnosed 1983 and had my right leg amputated 1987 after it recurred twice.
Thanks to God and the support of my family I am well and productive. I am real estate broker and the bread winner of the family.
Please be strong not only for your grandchildren and your family but for all of us who looked up to you as our inspiration and strength.
More prayers for fast recovery.
Sincerely,
Linlin Book
