Kyle Minogue’s Breast Cancer, Misdiagnosed?
Guesting on the Ellen DeGeneres Show today, Kylie Minogue revealed that she was misdiagnosed with breast cancer the first time. Apparently, the doctor gave her an all clear when she still has breast cancer.
Known to the world is Kylie’s battle with breast cancer, but this is the first time that this Australian pop star has revealed something about misdiagnosis.
Minogue said she was inspired to speak about the misdiagnosis after listening to DeGeneres and her earlier guest, US presidential hopeful Senator Hillary Clinton, discuss the importance of the early detection of breast cancer.
When DeGeneres, unaware of Minogue’s misdiagnosis, opened the interview by asking Minogue about her battle with breast cancer two years ago, the Australian stopped her.
“Listen, this is an opportunity for me to say something that I have not said before,” Minogue said.
“I was misdiagnosed initially.
Make us wanna wonder how many of cancer patients have been misdiagnosed already? This is where the importance of a second and third opinion comes in. And I think not just relying on one test, but on two or three more, just to be really sure.

I misdiagnosed for 6 months I suffered so much pain and kept going back to my GP only to be told I had stress. It was only when I attended the hospital that they found I had kidney impairment and from there they also found I multiple myeloma cancer of the blood and bones I am recovering really well now. I am so sad that we trust our doctors word when we are told we have something. So I feel for Kyle as she must of gone through so much
