As a nurse who used to work in palliative care, I think this is great news. I saw too many people succumb to this particularly nasty cancer.

I’ve watched several of Patrick’s movies and love them, esp. “Dirty Dancing” and “Ghost”. I’ve added to my prayer list, and I know that God is in control of his situation. I wish him the best.

I was so saddened to hear of the Patrick Swayze’s diagnosis. He is such a devoted husband and an amazing talent. I am always looking online to check his progress in his fight against this disease, but there is very little information, other than the generic, “he’s responding well.” While I certainly have no desire to intrude on his privacy, some kind of blog, similar to the daily updates provided by Randy Pausch in his similar fight, would be so beneficial to the millions of us who care so much about Patrick and are cheering him in his fight.

I too think of Patrick daily. He is a peer in generation and I admire him so…Two of my most favorite, romantic movies, he starred in. There is a tender, very genuine spirit in his eyes. I love the fact that he married young and was devoted throughout.
I can’t imagine how Lisa will exist without him. I visualize that Patrick will not acknowledge this disease and his body will return to its prior vitality. Think health and happy thoughts Patrick…….It does work for those who believe!

I, too, am living with pancreatic cancer-MD
Anderson, specifically Dr. Douglas Evans has
saved my life twice now. I can guarantee you
a positive attitude and faith is the only way
to live your life. There is no cure for pancreatic
cancer-as Randy Pausch says, but live happy,
and I pray you live long.

When I first saw dirty dancing I was so inspired that I had to take dancing lessons until finally I’m very comfortable on the dance floor. People later called me the sassy dancer. Thank You Patrick for inspiring. You change my life, I,ve been praying for you.

I know what you and your family are going through. My husband was diagnosed on May 17, 2007 with pancreatic cancer. The chemo has made his quality of life good. Even though there is no cure, I believe in Miracles and God is Good. Keep the faith, that is what is keeping my husband and my family going. Every day that I have my husband, San Miguel, is a miracle to me. He has only had chemotherapy and no other treatment. We are waiting to hear the results of the latest Catscan and hoping to hear good news. I am going to pray for you and your family and with God’s help, a Miracle can happen. May God be with you and your family.

Dear Patrick, I am very pleased that your treatments are going well, that’s what we are praying for. Every time I pass the cross I made for you I stop and pick it up and ask our lord to please watch over you and take this bad thing away. If there were something my family could do for you and your family we surely would, but the only thing I can do now is pray for you and your wife and your family. We’re always thinking of you Patrick.

patrick…all is OK…I KNOW that you will do great, no matter what…and contrary to all of the other posts, I am not saddened by your diagnosis…but by the immense amount of negative thoughts, rather than positive ones that you must IGNORE and deflect. I wish you great health, white light, energy, loads of p53 enzymes (kill cancer cells), and everything good. I have loved watching your movies (over and over–my mom does too). By the way, I was diagnosed with Lymphoma almost 2 years ago…and with a great outlook, diet , prayer and exercise, I have kept chemo at bay as well as my cancer. No progression. I have a young child and husband, and a family that needs me. IT IS POSSIBLE PEOPLE….keep it positive for him!!!

Since Patrick is one of the top five favorite actors in my life I am quite concerned about his condition at the present time. Today is May 14, 08 and I’d truly appreciate an appreciable update on him. My prayers are continual for much, much improvement and very, very soon. I love this guy’s outlook on life, his talents, and his appeal. I pray Patrick will receive a miracle. Who doesn’t want to see him on the big screen a thousand times over? He’s superb!! God bless you, Patrick, as well as your family. Lynda Y E
